Equipment Operator/General Labourer
TeraSpan is currently looking for local Hinton/Edson hard working, energetic and enthusiastic individuals who want to learn more about the deployment and maintenance of fiber optic networks. We are beginning a fibre optic network project in the Hinton/Edson area on October 5th. We are looking for a few equipment operators who are willing to also fulfill general labor duties which include; but not limited to: backfilling trench, cable pulling, landscaping, and clean-up. Other responsibilities and duties may arise, so candidate must be flexible. The project is expected to last 4-6 weeks. All candidates must be available and able to work for the whole duration. Pay rate depends on experience
Requirement (must haves):
Previous experience operating equipment
Clean Class 5 drivers license
Satisfactory communication skills (ability to clearly understand and follow verbal and written directions)
Ability to lift 30kg
Ability and willingness to work after hours and Saturdays, if necessary
Drug-free
Basic safety training (preference to candidates with BCCSA-CSTS safety training)
Must be available and able to work for the whole completion of project.
Preference will be given to candidates who have:
Basic construction experience
Previous experience driving a truck/trailer combination
Traffic control ticket
First aid certificate
Landscaping experience
