Hanlan Field Foreman - Overview
The Field Foreman will be responsible for establishing a strategic action plan to support execution of the Area Superintendent's operational goals and objectives. You will provide visible leadership and instill engagement, performance and accountability to the field operations team. You will provide coaching, guidance and support to union staff and contractors to consistently meet or exceed expectations in the following areas: corporate values, safety, production, operating costs, continuous improvement, competency, regulatory, emergency response, and community relations. Field travel is required on a regular basis.

Field Foreman - The Role
- Lead the Field Operations team to achieve high performance and engagement while promoting the good will outlined in the Collective Agreement. Managing employee performance within the language of the Collective agreement is a key responsibility.
- Work closely with the Plant Foreman, Gas Control team, Production Engineer, and Operations team to maximize net income, increase production reliability, and execute optimization projects.
- Work closely with the Superintendent and corporate finance teams while being accountable for cost forecasting and budgeting with a focus on maintenance spend and labour optimization. Scheduling, execution, and documentation of maintenance activity are a key responsibility.
- Ensure staff are meeting the competency requirements within corporate safety programs; Keyera CMDS, HSE training, emergency preparedness, permit to work, LOTO, driving awareness, and working alone.
- Ensure the team is meeting safety KPIs including, but not limited to, asset integrity programs, spills and release reporting, management of change documentation, process safety initiatives, audit actions, site specific operating procedure management, and risk register management.
- Work closely with the HSE Advisor on incident investigations, safety meetings, and general HSE communication.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure the field is maintained up to expected standards.

Field Foreman - The Person
- High school diploma required. A trade or technology diploma is considered a key asset
- Leadership skills must be high with a focus on enabling, empowering, and shifting culture while managing employee performance when required.
- Excellent understanding of sour gas operations with a focus on compression and pipelines
- Prior experience with control rooms, well exception philosophy, continuous improvement, lean operations, and operational excellence is required.
- Must be able to prioritize tasks and delegate when required. Various stakeholder responsibility requires skills to handle high stress situations with a calm and strong interpersonal manner.
- Strong computer skills and understanding on how to utilize software to run day to day operations including Outlook, Excel, maintenance systems, and procurement systems.
- Valid class 5 driver's license
- Certification in H2S alive, First Aid, ground disturbance and confined spaces is required
- Strong knowledge of AER requirements, EPAP and Directives 17, 55, and 60.
