Job Description: Our client is looking for two new operators to join their team in the Kaybob Duvernay field. 2-5 of years experience is required.
Each operator will be responsible for a run of well pads. There are 8 wells on each pad. They would be responsible for 8 to at the very high end, 20 wells. Typical tasks include: logging well sets, bringing wells back online, troubleshooting, providing guidance to maintenance for upgrades, pigging, etc.
Operators report to Production Operators Supervisor. Each day starts in Fox Creek where they will meet in the morning, look over the SCADA information, and go over any issues they are having. They will review the work with the Mainteance Planner, figure out what permits are required, sign those permits, etc.
Our client has specific processes and systems that need to be followed. Extensive training will be provided on those.
Work Environment:
- Working on site in the Fox Creek, Whitecourt, Valleyview vicinity.
- Candidates can live anywhere from Whitecourt to Grande Prairie.
Operators will be working independently, driving around in their truck from well to well. Will need to be in Fox Creek every morning for kickoff with the team.
Very interactive with engineers, maintenance planners, maintenance tradesmen, etc.
Schedule is 8 on and 6 off. On call 7 out of 8 days on. Shift is Wed-Wed.
Qualifications:
Must Haves:
- 2-5 years experience
- Experience with high pressure gas wells
- Drivers license
- Truck and tools
- Experience with some of the following equipment: H2S Scavenger, glycol tower compression, artificial lift equipment
- Grade 12
Nice to Haves:
- Power engineer
- Familiar with SCADA systems
Soft Skills:
- Safety oriented, team player, willing to learn
Performance Expectations:
- Opportunity for advancement can take place within two years. They will start at the operator one level. First advancement is based on competency assessment.
